November 2021- Amazing place! This was one or our favorite VRBO rentals. Susan was so kind and helpful when planning our trip. The place was very clean, beautiful and private with so many personal touches. There was a detailed book with instructions on how to work everything which was very helpful. There was music playing when we walked in with a bottle of wine and charcuterie board. It was just an amazing experience. We could not have asked for more. September 2021- The entire experience felt like we were staying with friends vs a rental. As previous reviewers state, staying at Casa Olivia is truly an exceptional experience! Susan and Bob were extremely helpful in helping with reservations and planning our weekend away. They truly went above and beyond as hosts! The house was the ideal escape for our group of 6. August 2021- Fantastic home and host! My wife and another couple stayed for 3 nights at Bob and Susans Casa Oliva. The location was very quiet and private but only 3 min from anything you may need for your stay. The house was very well kept and clean. Modern touches throughout. Susan was very easily reached and accommodating. Most of our time was spent in the heated pool/spa and on the upstairs patio. We will defiantly come back and enjoy again! Travis, Houston CA
July 2021- It was an incredible stay and we all commented that we could see ourselves making this an annual stay for our usual Paso trips. This place is a real gem of an AirBnB for sure, even for seasoned travelers this place had all the little touches to surprise you for sure. From the get go, Susan and Bob were amazingly communicative and helped answer a lot of questions before booking. We were meeting friends from Southern California for a "meet in the middle" get together and wanted to make sure it fit for all of us. Susan and Bob then really went above and beyond to help arrange tastings at some of the top wineries around Paso, both small and larger, and helped us arrange an amazing dinner reservation as well! They are well connected in the Paso scene and are not afraid to help you arrange things! The house is wonderfully decorated and well appointed. They have a beautiful fresh garden right out the front door and left an amazing spread of fresh vegetables for us at check in along with a nice bottle of wine which helped set mood for the trip for all of us. Lots of amazing touches around for sure, and if you weren't sure they loved olives, you'll know walking around the house with all of the amazing olive art and decorations! The bedrooms were great and had plenty of space. The upstairs sitting patio along with the outdoor deck and pool were just perfect for our group and when we were at the house, we were always outside. We always found something to do from all the games provided and of course the pool! July 2021 - Simply Perfect! We were continually surprised and delighted by the extra special and unexpected touches. After busy days wine tasting, we were anxious to get back to Casa Oliva because it was so relaxing yet fun. July 2021 - Fantastic Stay! Casa Oliva was an absolute dream! The house has everything you could possibly need for a wonderful vacation. The kitchen is well equipped, the bedrooms are sizable and well appointed, and the outdoor areas are fantastic. The pool was terrific too! The house’s location is great - it feels secluded and special while also being just a short drive to wineries, grocery stores, and beaches. Susan and Bob are incredibly responsive and helpful too. June 2021- Beautiful oasis surrounded by vineyards! It’s our second time to stay in this wonderful property. We liked it so much that we came back! The house is nicely decorated and comfortable. Everything you need is there and it is all beautifully coordinated. What makes it special is the outdoor spaces with the pool and fire pit. April 2021 - Grapevines & Olives a Mediterranean Delight 3 couples from our small wine group stayed at this beautiful & private property near Atascadero. It was very centrally located in this wine producing region. We love to cook while on vacation and were able to find a great meat and fish market nearby. On the property they also had a wonderful vegetable garden that we used in some of our meals. The Owners were very helpful by referring us to great wineries that we really enjoyed. March 2021 - What an amazing find! We loved every minute of staying at Bob and Susan’s Casa Oliva .... so much so that we never left the place once we got there for our long weekend! Our 6 year old daughter would not leave the pool all day and when she finally did, they had tons of games for her to play inside. November 2020 - Private Luxury in the Central Coast Wine Region Casa Oliva was a wonderful base of operations for exploring the Central Coast wine region. It is clear from the moment we arrived that the owners, Susan and Bob, have great taste and carefully maintain their property. The house is very private and well appointed. Detailed instructions are provided about music, tv and the pool/hot tub, although you should be a little savvy about streaming video if that matters to you -- we were able to access all our favorite apps. September 2020 - You felt like you were in a jungle house in paradise I am normally a pretty positive reviewer in general because I do my research and my hosts are usually great. Susan and Bob went beyond what I’ve even experienced. It was honestly the most beautiful, well thought out, comfortable space I’ve ever stayed at. Their attention to detail and hospitality goes above and beyond. We showed up to a basket of locally produced goodies including their own olive oil, garden veggies and fruits and on and on. A bottle of one of the best wines I’ve ever had and they hooked us up with a tour of the vineyard last minute and one of the best meals I’ve ever had. They were so responsive and kind and. September 2020_I can't say enough great things about this house! I'm so glad we booked this place! If you're looking for a secluded, relaxing, and luxurious getaway surrounded by wine vines then look no further. There's a rooftop deck with a fireplace, a backyard kitchen, pool area, game area, and everything you're looking for in a getaway, especially during a pandemic. The house is 10 minutes from Paso, a few minutes from wine tasting at Tin City, and about 20-30 minutes from Morro Bay. Plenty to do and see. Susan also has great recommendations for wine tasting and restaurants and will also call the wineries where she's a member to let them know to take care of you. Also, everything in the house is labeled and there's a great instruction book in case you have any questions. Susan is also really responsive by text. Thank you Susan and Bob! August 2020 - A little slice of heaven in SLO county. Hands down the BEST Airbnb we’ve stayed at so far!! The location was perfect; close to Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles. Hosts provided recommendations on places to eat, things to do and were very quick to respond with any questions! They were so kind and went the extra mile to make my birthday one to remember. The property is even more amazing in person and is impeccable. It has virtually anything and everything you’ll need, Keurig, Starbucks coffee, pots, pans, utensils, robes, lotions, shampoo, body wash etc. There was a beautiful welcome gift for us upon arrival with fresh fruits and veggies straight from their garden. The home has the cutest decor, most comfortable bed I ever slept in. I can’t say enough about this place!!!! Don’t think twice, just book it lol You won’t regret it!!!We WILL be back again. August 2020 - It was one of our best vacations! This was the perfect spot for the 6 of us to do a combination of work and play during the pandemic. The WIFI worked great for all the simultaneous video calls, the two decks were an awesome place to enjoy all the games and the scenery. We used the outdoor kitchen almost every night and the top floor deck was great for watching the meteors at night. Susan and Bob were wonderful hosts; very accommodating. They have really thought through what guests will need to make the stay enjoyable. The location was a great combination of being secluded in the olive groves, close to wineries and restaurants, and when it got too hot it was 25 minutes to cooler weather at beautiful beaches. August 2020 - We didn't want to leave and we can't wait to come back I can't possibly rave enough about Casa Oliva and our hosts, Bob & Susan, who were so responsive and helpful even before we officially booked our stay, and continued to provide great advice about the house and things to do in the area after we booked. We loved everything about Casa Oliva: the feel of a secluded and private location with extremely easy access to the highway and local vineyards; the beautiful themed decor throughout the property; the cozy, homey feel of the house (created partially by great lighting inside and out), the amenities (from generous welcome gifts to all the bath products we could possibly need) and the gorgeous outdoor space (upstairs deck and fireplace, backyard BBQ and hot tub) surrounded by olive trees. July 2020 - Fantastic Property & Stay! This is the rare case in which the property is even better than what is shown online. The design, amenities, furnishings and outdoor areas of Casa Oliva are first class. Everything is clean and updated. The home is on a large, gated property, very private with beautiful grounds. My sons - 17 and 20 - enjoyed the pool/hot tub, ping pong table and cornhole set up. My wife and I enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine! July 2019 Tuscany meets the Central Coast! Our stay at the Casa Oliva (on the larger "Hacienda Robles") was simply magical!! There was an immediate sense of serenity and peace as the black iron gates opened to welcome us to this amazing private retreat. The lush Lavender, Olive Trees, Grape Vines, Flowering Plants and gargantuan, majestic Oak Trees filled the landscape as we drove the circular driveway to the Casa. Upon entering the house, we discovered (surprise!) a wonderful basket of goodies awaiting us from our generous hosts Bob and Susan, filled with delicious Olive Oil (made from the Olive trees outside our window!), assorted artisan cheeses and crackers, and local Central Coast wines for our consumption to boot! The home furnishings are appointed with great style and comfort. Some unexpected perks included a dynamic sound system and yes, even a turntable with classic LP's (important to this musician!). We also discovered luxurious bath soaps, with fresh linens on a very comfortable bed complete with an overhead retractable TV! The modern, light-filled Kitchen was fully stocked for cooking, and bathrooms were beautiful and sparkling~ modern yet fitting of a Casa Oliva. Our first evening was spent relaxing on the upper deck in front of a cozy Fire Pit sipping wine and staring up at thousands of stars! During the day, we found easy access to all the restaurants in nearby Atascadero as well as the amazing Paso Robles just a few miles up Route 101, and then visited the oh so hip Tin City, complete with live bands, wine tastings and restaurants! Our stay was short- but the daytime afforded us time to visit a few spectacular wineries (Dao was our favorite). Our second night (quite cool) was spent in the heated pool right off the master bedroom underneath those massive oaks until very early morning. We noticed a modern outdoor kitchen complete with a large oven and grill on the HUGE deck- (and a ping-pong table)- but did not do any outdoor cooking this time- we will save that for next visit! Traveling from the east coast, San Luis Obispo airport proved a quick drive to Casa Oliva, and we cannot wait to return as there are so many more places to explore . Hosts Bob and Susan know the Central Coast intimately, and were incredibly generous and knowledgeable, sharing recommendations of the best places and wineries to visit! Casa Oliva is simply a slice of heaven with a touch of Italy. We highly recommend this oasis to all discriminating travelers. Gary, Pittsburgh, PA
